Hollywood Reports from Europe

In preparation for the Tetons or Bust Tour 2012, Hollywood (aka Mary James) jumped a plane for Europe to tramp, I mean tromp, er travel across England, France, Italy and Greece in search of the Holy Grail.  I have received a couple of telegrams from her that I’d like to share:

June 7, 2012, London, England

Hi Ringo!!!,

I am currently sitting in the lobby of my hotel in London. We are staying at the Days Hotel, which is basically a Days Inn, but a little nicer. Today we saw Buckingham Palace, St. James’ Palace, and took a ride on the London Eye. I requested to see the Queen in the manner that you suggested, but alas, I was turned down a chance to see the
Queen. She had just left her home, when we had gotten to the Palace.  The London Eye for those of you who are not familiar with the name is a giant ferris wheel right next to the Thames river and caddy corner from the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. I have absolutely loved
London. They have great public transportation, which Rojass (aka Theresa) would love. I have learned so much and love all of the history here. I saw a wall today that was built BY THE ROMANS. haha. yea its pretty old. I love you all. Thank you for the opportunity to go on this trip! Its off to bed for me. I have a five am start so that we can get to thetrain station for Paris early in the morning. Love you.

That was certainly a riveting report — I want to know how much money she made while in London, but alas, I will have to get the accounting details later.  Her second report came from Paris, France:

June 8, 2012, Paris, France

Bonjour from Paris!!!
Definitely different from London and absolutely beautiful. The hotel doesn’t have a working computer so I’m using Jane’s iPod. We had a full day which was full of scattered pouring rain showers, delicious goat cheese, tomato, and lettuce baguette, and a tour of famous Paris landmarks from the Seine River. We also worked off the crepes that we had for dinner by climbing the six hundred plus stairs to the top of the Eiffel Tower

My apologies. accidentally hit the send button. It’s been a long day. Im not quite sure where I left off but the Eiffel Tower was absolutely majestic if I do say so myself. I couldn’t stop looking at it. Ohh and a nice little fun fact to throw in… the place we’re staying is called “Hotel Mister Bed City.” True fact. I love you guys so much and I’ll talk to you later.
Ciao!   Hollywood

Once again, no accounting, although my bet is that she spent more than she made while in Paris.  Gotta spend money to make money, I guess.  I don’t know about the “Hotel Mister Bed City”.  Sounds like one of Curley’s chain of European hotels.  Hollywood’s third report also came from Paris:

June 9, 2012, Paris, France

Hey Ringo!
Paris was wonderful today. I dont know if will be able to send emails from Italy or Greece so I’m going to send them while I can. Today we went on a bus tour around Paris to the major landmarks. I think I got some good pictures when they let us off of the bus. I hate taking pictures through the glass on the bus. So I didn’t get pictures of all of the fabulous buildings that they have to offer here. I tried some authentic french Camembert cheese today on my baguette and some authentic french red wine. Delicious. 🙂 I have a special present for you. So… be excited Ringo!!!! Oh and we went to Montmartre today also to see Sacre Coeur. It was absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately we did not get to see the Moulin Rouge, which I wanted to see but oh well.
tomorrow we are going to the Louvre and then have some free time at the Champs de Elysses. After that we are leaving for Florence, Italy!!!!!!!! I am so excited. I love you all. Thank you so much for everything.
miss you.

Well, its good to see that Hollywood thought it appropriate to purchase a “special” present for me in Paris.  Makes perfect sense.  I am soooo excited.  I could use some new french chaps.

Stay tuned.
