As if the Sheriff wasn’t busy enough trying to find me. This woman isn’t even trying to hide. Apparently she needs a place to stay and thinks the County Jail is the best place. Maybe this time they will keep hold of her till trial.
ST. LOUIS COUNTY • A 32-year-old woman from Arnold was arrested Monday night at a gas station in south St. Louis County on suspicion of having a small batch of methamphetamine in a soda bottle, police say.
Police say she is the same woman arrested June 7 for allegedly shoplifting at a Walmart at 3270 Telegraph Road with a similar stash of bottled chemicals for making meth in her purse. The bottled lab is sometimes called a “shake-and-bake” lab, in which drug users or makers cook small amounts of methamphetamine to use or sell.
About 9:30 p.m. Monday, police were called about a suspicious person on the lot of the U Gas station at 6161 Telegraph Road, said Officer Rick Eckhard, a St. Louis County Police spokesman. The woman tossed the bottle as police came to arrest her. Police may seek charges against the woman today.
On the evening of June 7, the woman was caught shoplifting and store security discovered a 20-ounce bottle with ingredients suspected to be for making meth. The store full of customers was evacuated because of the volatility of the chemicals in the bottle. She has not yet been charged in that case.
No one was injured in either incident.
I’ve got a funny feeling there will be more to this story.
