Hiking at the LSR Preserve

Hello again everyone.

On Tuesday we woke at 4:30 am to take some sunrise photos at Menor’s Ferry.   It was hard to get up, but the Old Lady snapped the whip and Rojass, Hollywood and I stood at attention and shuffled to the wagon for a ride down to the Ferry.  It was a beautiful, chilly, cloudless morning.  Once we were on the road, we were good with being awake.

Here are some of the photos we took:

After breakfast in Jackson at the Bunnery, we headed over to the LSR Preserve for a 7.0 mile hike.  The first half of the hike was not too strenuous.  The second half just about killed me.  Up and down and up and down.  Long stretches in the sun … and short stretches in the shade.  I actually reached the point where I took the Fabulous One’s approach and just sat down on the trail and refused to walk any further.  (This did not last long because the Old Lady told me that she would just leave me there to die … and I believed her.)

Here are some photos from the hike:

When the hike was over … and after a long cold face plunge … we returned to camp where we chowed down on delicious burgers prepared by the Old Lady.

Sleep came easy this night.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned.
