Hello again everyone.
It seems I have made a mistake. Now, that by itself is news, because I don’t make very many mistakes. Never the less, it was recently brought to my attention that I made a mistake. So, I must correct it.
Before I tell you what the mistake was, I must say that the mistake was Hi-larious! Completely unintentional humor is sometimes the best kind. And it this case, it was just that. I love it when I am unintentionally funny. Makes me so happy.
So, the story goes like this: We are in the dining room, having a delightful Mexican Fiesta (take that Trump), when it is suggested that Hollywood read aloud my blog post for the day. It was the Fabulous One’s birthday (have I mentioned that she is with child? And that the Old Lady and I are grandparents?).
Hollywood grabs her trusty iPhone and starts looking for the day’s blog post. Then she hesitates, and starts laughing. She hesitates again and says aloud for all to hear that I mistakenly referred to this as the Fabulous One’s 30th Birthday. She was, of course, only 29. Then everyone started laughing — me included.
Now I’m not sure if they were laughing at the blog post or me. Having given it some thought, I think they were laughing at me — not the post. I should have been embarrassed, but I wasn’t. I was proud that I had written something that brought the entire table to laughter. That doesn’t happen very often.
By the time dinner was over, Rojass commented that she could hardly breathe and hadn’t laughed so much or so hard for a long time. Others agreed with her comment. (I’m not sure what J the B thought — other than “this family is nuts.”) I felt good about Rojass’ comment because, as you know, laughter is good for the soul. And your health. And your general disposition. It seems that the mistake was a success. I wonder if Mimi had anything to do with it. She wasn’t very good with math.
So, without further adieu, I hereby declare that the Fabulous One recently celebrated her 29th birthday and not her 30th. My bog post of December 1, 2016 is hereby amended to change any and all references to 30 to 29. No sense rushing things. She is still officially in her late 20’s which sounds so much younger that her early 30’s. Don’t you agree?
Thanks for reading and stay tuned.
