Hello again everyone.
I’ve been spending some time reviewing my blog’s stats. They are very disappointing. Oh, yes, I remember when absolutely no one was reading my posts. So, recent history should give me some encouragement. But alas, no.
“Why?” you say. Well, its the up and down of things, of course. Things were down (disappointed). Then up (happiness). Then down (upset). Then Gracie was born and things were UP (elated). And, finally, now they are down again (except for Gracie’s baptism).
WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE???
I toil away almost everyday to come up with some of the most interesting things you could ever want to read about. And what do you people do??? YOU IGNORE ME. (Unless you think I’m writing about Gracie, and then you tune in.) What in the heck?
Some of the most influential people in my life (Santa Clause, Easter Bunny, Abner Doubleday) taught me that “you have to take the good with the bad”. That’s right. If you want to read about Gracie, fine. But you have to read the other crap I post as well. You can’t pick and choose.
For example, the other day I posted a fabulously interesting article about the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Do you know have many people have looked at it so far. Zero. Zilch. None. The amount of research that went into that blog post was incredible. And no one reads it. Everyone should know about the Flying Spaghetti Monster (FSM). After all, I am certain that you need to know the following:
What drives the FSM’s devout followers, aka Pastafarians? Some say it’s the assuring touch from the FSM’s Noodly Appendage. There are those who love the worship service, which is conducted in Pirate-Speak and attended by congregants in dashing buccaneer garb. Still others are drawn to the Church’s flimsy moral standards, religious holidays every Friday, and the fact that Pastafarian Heaven is way cooler. Does your Heavenhave a Stripper Factory and a Beer Volcano?
Yes. This is important stuff. It sustains you when the Cardinals lose a weeks worth of games in a row. It sustains you when you are tired of people ignoring your blog posts.
Just so someone will read this, I am adding a photo of my darling granddaughter, Grace. She is cute as a button.
Thanks for reading (occasionally) and stay tuned.
